Information
IvyGothic is a rationalized redesign of Times Gothic from the American Specimen Book of Type Styles, a catalog from American Type Founders (1912). Jan Maack aimed to preserve the original’s subtle warmth while refining its irregularities to improve readability, clarity, and simplicity — a bit of polish, if you will, to make this forgotten American grotesque shine in modern use. IvyGothic, a great alternative to Helvetica, is available in 9 weights, Thin to Black, plus Italics, or as a variable font.
