Jan Maack collaborated with Danish illustrator Erik Sørensen for the joyfully illustrated typeface SwingKing. During his decades-long career that began in the pre-digital era, Sørensen always had difficulties finding the right typographic voice to match his illustrations and comic strips. Maack digitized, polished, and improved letters drawn by Sørensen to develop a useful casual sans that is neither cartoonish nor handwritten. Dozens of symbols, icons, and emojis amp up the fun factor.
