Information
Aquarius is a decorative serif-sans hybrid typeface. Originally designed by Ronald Arnholm for Visual Graphics Corporation (VGC) in 1967, it was digitally revived by Steve Jackaman (ITF) for the Red Rooster Collection in 2007. Aquarius was created during the height of the “Age of Aquarius” and reflects the expressive design spirit of the late 1960s. Its letterforms combine clean sans-like lines with internal serifs and high-contrast curves, giving it an ornamental, almost Art Nouveau feel. The uppercase characters are especially decorative, making Aquarius a striking choice for posters, album covers, and headlines that call for a bold retro look.
