Information
Erasmus is a serif text typeface originally designed by Sjoerd Hendrik de Roos in 1923 and digitized by A. Pat Hickson, with production by Steve Jackaman (ITF) for the Red Rooster Collection in 1992. Inspired by Renaissance humanist forms, Erasmus features classic proportions and subtle calligraphic detailing. It’s well-suited for book covers, editorial design, and formal publications. The family includes four upright weights, with small caps available in the two lighter styles.
