Information

Guildford is a decorative sans serif font family, exclusively licensed from the Stephenson Blake Collection. The family was completely redesigned and produced in 2011 by Steve Jackaman (ITF) and Ashley Muir, with italic and condensed weights added to the originals. Guildford Sans is identical to Stempel’s Elegant Grotesque, the 1928-29 design by Hans Möhring. The name of the typeface holds sentimental value to Jackaman, as he grew up near and frequently visited the town of Guildford in Surrey, England. Two sister type families, Relish and Windlesham, were developed after the success of Guildford.
