Kingsley is a transitional serif font family. It was originally designed by Les Usherwood (Typsettra) as a tribute to Frederic W. Goudy’s Kennerley Old Style, and was digitally produced by Steve Jackaman (ITF) in 1999 for the Red Rooster Collection. Kingsley blends Goudy’s classical sensibilities with Usherwood’s modern refinements. The typeface features moderate contrast in stroke weight, open counters, and a balanced rhythm, making it suitable for book covers, formal invitations, and editorial design. Its timeless elegance and readability ensure versatility across various applications.
