Shortwave Gothic is a decorative, compressed, and sans serif font family. The family was designed and produced by Steve Jackaman (ITF) in 2003. Being a (modest) shortwave radio fan, Jackaman was inspired to design a typeface that celebrates this incredible technology. The smooth curves and geometric sharp angles incorporated into this unique typeface are meant to symbolize and encapsulate the “tuning” of the radio signals.
