Goth icon and Saturday Night Live voice-over talent Nicole Blackman, whose family includes architects and a retired fashion designer, created this alphabet inspired by her grandfather’s clip art legacy. “Herb Lubalin designed his logo!” she notes. The lanky, theatrical all-caps design contrasts with supple upper and lowercase letterforms. Blackman drew the original artwork in 1997, with final fontification by Chank Diesel completed in 2006. This hand-drawn font combines seductive and stylish qualities.
